Ancient Wonderland

Developer: Shanghai Quarter Digital
Website: Here

Ancient Wonderland is a 2d puzzle game, you must clear off shapes by clicking on 3 in a row that are touching. The object of the game is to clear all the small blue gems before proceeding on to the next level. The game is additively fun and I had to realize what time it was and stop or I would’ve played for a long time. The game is definitely for anyone who likes puzzle games. It’s pretty to look at, the puzzles are interesting and overall, it’s fun.

Arc Ball 3D

Developer: Silverwolf Studios
Website: silverwolf-studios.com

Arc Ball 3D is a very nice breakout style game, played from cool perspective. The graphics could be a little better but the whole game has a nice design to it. It’s well worth playing, and at $10.00 is well worth buying to.

3D Buzz Video Training Modules

Video Training Modules

If your new to 3D modeling then these training videos might be useful. They were made for GameSpace but they show basic 3D modeling techniques that every modeler should know.

Website Description:

“The guys from 3D Buzz give you an introductory lesson on using gameSpace, as they take you through the steps involved in creating a character and getting it up and running in Quake III Arena. Starting with a cube, they model the character from scratch, then show how to use the export functionality of gameSpace to get your character into the game.”

“The second in the series of Video Training Modules from 3D Buzz takes you to the next step in creating a model for use in a game, as they show you how to add a skeleton to the elf, and then to use that to create some animations for the character.”

3D World Studio

3D World Studio
Try the Demo

3D World Studio is a great tool for making 3D worlds with, it has support for importing/exporting a decent amount of formats. The program also has a built-in terrain generator and very high-quality lightmapping tools. It’s a great tool for mappers and is much better than many in-engine editors. 3D World Studio is not free, and i recommend trying the demo first. For a single-user license it costs $79.95, but there is also an optional “builder edition” which includes tons of helpful resources including textures, map meshes and models.

Texture Maker

Texture Maker
Try the Demo

Texture Maker is a “must buy” for any development team, it allows the user to create seamless textures on-the-fly and easily, whether you want to use a previously made image and convert it to be seamless or if you want to draw it in the program, either way it’s very easy to work with. Texture Maker has the option of making a texture seamless with just one click, it also has support for many formats and allows 32-bit textures as well. Texture Maker isn’t free, and costs $64.95 for the basic commercial edition, but it’s well worth the price. If you want to make your textures look really good, but easily do so, try texture maker out.

Noitu Love 2

Developer:Joakim Sandberg
Publisher:konjak.org
Website:konjak.org

Do yourself a favor and download the first game “Noitu Love”. It’s free and well worth playing, and after your done pick up a copy of Noitu Love 2. First off the art is great, it’s nicely detailed and the animation is superb. But once you start playing you know you’ve found a true gem. Trust me when I say it’s well worth your time.

Super © – Free Video Converter

Super © – Must open in IE for it to work properly

Super © is a very nice and very helpful free video converter. It’s really handy if you need to convert videos but don’t want to pay a lot to get it. Super © is extremely helpful if you need to convert cut scenes, logos, or just about any video for personal use. The program is 100% free for commercial or personal use and includes conversions from and to almost any format, for a full list check their website. It also includes advanced features like support for AviSynth.

Overall the program is good, the price is great (who doesn’t like free) and the only setback is that you have to use Internet Explorer to download the program from the website properly.
