Working Memory Workout
Ryan Atkinson contacted us about his new game Working Memory Workout. WMW is a memory game where you have to remember the last thing that was shown and determine if the new image you are shown is different or the same as the previous image.
Ryan told us: “WMW is based on a simple memory task called the N-back (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N-back). I won’t make claims about what WMW can do, but it has the potential to be really great for our brains, because training with the dual N-back variation increases fluid intelligence according to one study. (http://www.iapsych.com/articles/jaeggi2008.pdf)
WMW is for people of all ability levels, and it automatically adjusts difficulty to maintain an appropriate challenge. It has a lot of features and customizable elements, but few achievement-based rewards. WMW was designed for daily use, and results might emerge over weeks, months, or not at all.”
The game looks rather interesting, If you are a memory match fan, or just are curious about the game you can get it by clicking this link. Have fun increasing your brain power.*
* as stated by Ryan playing this game may or may not increase fluid intelligence. ItBGames cannot prove whether this increases brain activity or not, but we can say you might enjoy it. Neither Ryan nor ItBGames can be held responsible for what this game does to intelligence. Insert laugh track here.
