PreVa – 2008

PreVa, MangaPage’s first game began it’s development 2005. It is the story of a world at war. Two sides locked in a conflict over the future of mankind. On one side you have the United Earth Government, a new force to unite the world under one government. The other a small military group known as the Independent Allied Alliance. In the game the player, plays as a United Earth Forces Commander trying to recover three stolen prototype Versatile Armors from the Independent Allied Alliance. Versatile Armors or V.A.s are large mechanical robots that are piloted by humans from a cockpit in the V.A.s’ chest.
Temporal Static Studios recorded seventeen new songs and five remixes for the soundtrack of PreVa. As well as recording the voices of in-game characters. PreVa also marked the voice acting debuts of Tonya Morris [as the Controller Alissa Saito] and George Anderson [as General Cartwright], as well as Jonathan Sharp, Glen Reece, Stacey Sharp and Jason Carter [as V.A. pilots].
The game was in development for two and a half years until it’s completion and release in 2008. It was developed on the 3D Gamestudio/A6 game engine. MangaPage created the game out of a need for more mech games on the PC. It is only the first of many other mecha anime style games that MangaPage have planned for future development.
PreVa can be downloaded for free here.
Currently MangaPage is in preproduction on a game based on the original PreVa. It will feature a retelling of the story in PreVa as well as a completely redesigned game-play system. The next PreVa [code named PreVa EX] is currently planned to be developed on the Torque 3D game engine.
